 What is Web Summit?

Web Summit is an annual technology conference held in Lisbon in 2019 and is considered the largest technological event in the world. Founded in 2009 by Paddy Cosgrave, David Kelly, and Daire Hickey, Web Summit was originally held in Dublin, Ireland, until 2016, when it permanently moved to Lisbon, Portugal.

What's going on at Web Summit?

As part of the event, the founders and CEOs of the world's top companies, along with the most influential strategic partners in Silicon Valley and beyond, are meeting with researchers and innovators of tomorrow. The focus of the conference is on Internet technology, technologies that are still in the project stage and untested invention, with bigger risks.

Who participates?

Speakers include CEOs, experts in different fields, celebrities and politicians, such as Elon Musk, Katherine Maher, Guo Ping. This year, even Edward Snowden, the famous former NSA analyst, will be invited. Web Summit partners range from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, participants representing all levels and sectors of the global technology industry.

One of the top participants at the Web Summit is giant Huawei, the multinational technology company, the world's second-largest smartphone maker.

They organize HUAWEI Developer Day on November 5, 2019, at Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal. During those 4 days, HUAWEI guests have the chance to explore the business opportunities offered by top experts and technical partners, to understand the HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS) ecosystem, to support mobile phone developers, giving them a smart way to develop, efficient growth and monetization of applications.

What is our forecast for this year's summit compared to 2018?

 This year we expect this event to be even bigger, to have more personalities present, and the degree of interest in technological problems that users are facing daily will be even higher.

This year we are proud to announce that VirtualCards will be part of this big event. We will be a small part, dynamic and with personality, in this huge universe of information and technology.

At this Summit we present the project to the other participants, thus having the opportunity to attract potential strategic partners or foreign partners, to exchange experience and impressions.

VirtualCards will enter a new stage to become an international application. Our goal is to expand into new markets and develop a long-term partnership, relationships around the world.

For attracting international partners, we are developing a platform dedicated to exclusive online sales packages.
